Floor Paint

An acrylic resin based, solvent based, single-component product used for painting and protecting floors; applicable indoors and outdoors; it forms a floor coating resistant to UV rays, water and heavy traffic, dries quickly, and is waterproof, decorative and protective.

It has excellent adhesion. Its resistance to water, abrasion and impact is high. It is resistant to UV rays and seasonal changes and is suitable for outdoor conditions. It is easy to apply. With its flexible structure it covers hairline cracks, prolonging the life of the surface by reducing water infiltration. It is non-slip. It is not affected by dirt, dust, exhaust fumes, oil and water. It provides excellent resistance to salt water and various chemicals. Even in harsh weather conditions, problems such as detachment, blistering or peeling from the surface do not occur.

It can be used on natural stone floors such as asphalt, concrete, screed, wood, paving stone, sheet metal and marble. It can be used for colouring and marking on floors such as garages, car parks, bicycle paths, walkways and outdoor sports grounds.

Surface Preparation&Application

Before application, make sure the floor is absolutely dry, clean and sound. It must be cleared of dust and particles with an air gun or by sweeping. The surface must be completely dry. If there are small and medium-sized defects, cracks or holes requiring repair on the surface to be applied, they must be filled with repair mortars and Polisan Epoxy Putty. On newly poured concrete, screed or cement-based surfaces, a curing (setting) period of at least 21 days must be observed before painting. If there is old, deformed paint on the surface, it must be completely scraped off with a mechanical grinding machine down to the bare concrete. If chemicals such as oil or petroleum are present on the floor surface, they must be cleaned with Polisan Polyjet Cellulosic Thinner. Synthetic thinner or cleaning chemicals must not be used. The surface and ambient temperature must be between +5°C and +30°C. Care must be taken to ensure that the material does not run on the surface. For best performance, two-coat application is recommended. After application, 24 hours must be waited before opening to pedestrian and/or vehicle traffic.

Thinning / Blending Ratio

The product is ready to use; if thinning is required, POLI-HRM Thinner must be used at a ratio of 5-10%.

Coverage Area

Approximately 1.5-2 m²/kg in two coats. Depending on the applied surface, for a 250 micron dry film thickness, consumption is approximately 0.5-0.7 kg/m² in two coats.

Drying Time

(At 23°C and 50% relative humidity) it completes drying in 20 minutes. 24 hours must be waited between coats. The material must be protected from precipitation until it is cured.
