Surface Preparation&Application

Since Exelans Energy Single Component Bituminous Water Insulation Material consists of a single component, it can be mixed inside its bucket with a slow cycle electric drill. It is a ready-to-use material and should be applied as 2 coats. No need for warming or thinning. Can be applied with a brush or a roller. The product begins to dry within 1 hour. Waiting for 1 day before applying the second coat will help getting a healthier result. It should be reinforced by applying bearing elements such as fiberglass mesh, fiberglass, felt and weather strip between 2 coats at edges, sides of the canals or places where resistance to high pressure is requested. At roofs that are constantly exposed to outdoor conditions and that are not walked on, solar protection and aesthetic appearance can be offered by applying UV protector or enclosing the area after the application of this product.
