Epoxy Finishing Paint

This is a double component, reaction-dry, epoxy resin based finishing paint that is cured with polyamide hardener. Adheres perfectly to sheet metal, galvanized metal, aluminum, wood and mineral surfaces. Used on all kinds of wood, metal and mineral surfaces exposed to water, seawater, chemical and corrosion. Exhibits excellent performance in general industry, machinery production, metal protection and marine applications.

Surface Preparation&Application
Surfaces must be free of any loose materials that could reduce adherence. All metal surfaces should be sandblasted at minimum degree of Sa2 ½ and primed with Epoxy Anti-corrosive Primer within 6 hours. After the primer dries (4 to 6 hours), the finishing coat should be applied. The finishing paint should be rested for 10 to 15 minutes for preliminary reaction after being blended with a hardener in the given ratios. The surface’s temperature should be minimum 10 ℃. The product should not be applied near dew point.
Thinning / Blending Ratio
4 units of Epoxy Paint + 1 unit of Epoxy Paint Hardener by weight. For thinning, 10-15% Epoxy Thinner should be used.
Coverage Area
7-8 m²/L or 5-6 m²/kg (50-60 µ Dry Film Thickness)
Drying Time
Touch-dry in 5-6 hours and hard-dry in 24 hours. Achieves its physical and chemical durability in maximum 7 days. 24 hour interval between coats.
